About Adventures of Andy the Android

Objective: No real objective. Just want to see how far Andy 1 and Andy 2 the Android (toy plushies) can travel. Hopeully he can visit every state. This a mini project and experiment to see if we can get Andy to visit a bunch of different places and people around the country and to explore many different walks of life. Think of it as a fun photo documentary if you will.

Andy the Android believes that he can do anything! Android smartphones can do anything, right?! So it is only natural.

First thing he wants to do is travel the world trying to prove that he can really do anything. This is where YOU can help. Andy the Android (he and his twin brothers are 6″ plushies) will start his journey in the beautiful SF Bay Area, hopefully at Google’s headquarter! From there, Andy 1 and Andy 2 will depart in different directions. They will be split up. Andy 1 will head off to school with me, and Andy 2 will board his mode of transportation, a.k.a. USPS Priority Flat-Rate box, and head off to Matt4542 on the east coast.

From there, your jobs are simple. If you come across either Andy’s, let them hitch-hike with you. All you have to do is take a picture of Andy doing something in your hometown, and report his location and activities back to me. After you are done, hand him off to the next Android user so he can continue his journey.

All the photos and descriptions will be posted on his online journal/blog, where fans can follow him during his adventures. Blog is coming soon!

Here are a few ideas for simple things you can do. The key to this is to have fun and use your imagination! You don’t have to do anything spectacular. You just have to share a part of your life.

Examples:

You are a college student. Take a picture of Andy acing your math test, or at a football game, or flirting with college girls.

You like to play poker. Take a picture of him with a large chip stack and with pocket rockets.

You have a dog. Take a pic of him walking your dog.

Or if you are at a landmark, take a pic of him doing something at a landmark.

Have a place in town with awesome food, take a pic of him conquering a food challenge.

The sky is the limit. Just keep it fun, and keep classy!

So… we need rules…

1. You are only allowed to hand-off Andy to people who are Android Smart Phone users. Only makes sense, right?

2. You are not allowed to have Andy for more than 24 hours. I don’t want him to settle in with someone. He is very messy! Eat’s a lot! Sleeps all day, and will become lazy and fat. Ideally, spend a few hours with him, and then hand him off to the next person, but no longer than 24 hours.

I also prefer that you hand him off to a person you know instead of a complete stranger. Trying to avoid having Andy kidnapped.

3. Please try not to ship him. I prefer hand-off’s. Time in transit is time that he can spend with other people.

Please report Andy to me at darkonion@kimete.com. Please include your image, description, location, and any other relevant information. Thanks!!
